Street dogs are quite a common sight in India. Roaming the streets like masters of the universe, they get into territorial fights and are also caught in unfortunate traffic accidents at times.
I found this cute pup when I had gone for bird watching at Bhandup – didn’t get good enough pictures of birds but got this one instead.

He IS. Looks like a stray. Is he?
He’s loosely adopted. 😉 What this means in India is that the litter will grow up on scraps and leftovers from the house outside where their mother has birthed them. They will then go their own ways once they are old enough to take care of themselves.
Interesting. Here, strays are picked up by different organization, who sterilize them if they’re healthy, clean them up and put them up for adoption.
so so cute 🙂
Thanks Joshi. Honoured!
