I’m just back from a trip to Rajasthan. This one was specifically planned to see the painted havelis of the Shekhawati region.
While I will be sharing stories from this once prosperous region of Rajasthan, here is a quirky wall painting from the Ramnath Podar Haveli and Museum in Nawalgarh to give a glimpse of what’s to come.
Click here to read my post on the Shekhawati havelis, how to get there, where to stay, where to eat etc.

I am really looking forward!
Happy to have enthusiastic readers like you. 🙂

hey! Vibha 🙂 Beautifully spotted. Btw, say hi next time you are here.. I belong to Nawalgarh and live in Jaipur.
Hi Shubham. Being in that area was a fantastic experience.
If I had the moolah, I would buy a haveli and restore it the way the Goenka haveli or Nadine le Prince haveli have been done up. Do your folks own a haveli too?
Haha, yes! Some clan in the family owns three havelis. So far so good.
What an eye capturing art! Waiting to see and read more 🙂
Sure Trupti. Have a mountain of photos to sift through.
Rajasthan presents so many opportunities for great pics that it just makes one trigger, or rather shutter happy 😉
