I am a former travel industry professional and journalist. As an independent content writer with a fascination for travel, I write for this blog apart from publications like Lonely Planet Magazine, Matador, and Moneycontrol.
Travel fascinates me as it mingles unexpected moments with the ordinary ones, granting us a ‘joie de vivre’ – Discovering a pristine beach just because you didn’t follow the route on GPS; Stumbling upon a python inside a tree stump you almost sat on; Or finding the kindness in people when you least expected it.
As a bonus, you have conversations with people of myriad hues and capture not just sights but also glimpses of people’s lives. A few souls, including yours truly, can’t help seeing everything in frames (much like looking through National Geographic’s logo).
Inspired by Charles de Lint’s words ‘Don’t forget—no one else sees the world the way you do, so no one else can tell the stories that you have to tell’, I set about to share what my eye and mind see through posts on this blog. I hope you like the narratives that reveal themselves along the way.
It isn’t about stories alone though. Sharing tips and guides to places I visit, I try to make this blog useful as well. Feel free to comment on the posts and add tips of your own, but please don’t slyly promote your blogs/sites.
I might not be able to post or respond when I’m traveling, so please bear with me. Thanks for reading through and I hope you enjoy the journey each time you visit.

Thanks a lot for the nomination Aruna. I humbly accept and will follow tradition, passing on the honor to other fellow bloggers. Just need some time to complete the process. 🙂
love your photographies and glad I found your blog. I wish to read more of your adventures. Keep them coming 🙂
Hi Jackson. I am totally in love with photography and it's comments like yours that add to the conviction that I am moving in the right direction. Glad to have your company.
Hi Vibha, thanks for following us at Raxa Collective! We look forward to exploring your photography, and if you're on Facebook, hope to see you there 🙂
Anything related to environmentally sustainable initiatives has my backing. I hope to see you around too. 🙂
Lovely thoughts. ..enjoyed reading them . As evocative as the pics….cheers!?
Hello there! I see some really, really nice photographs and I'm left hoping for some text to go with them, something that would tell me where it was taken and a little bit of background.
I am not a travel writer, but have written about trips to Nepal and France. Someday I'll write about the US, Canada, Cuba other Caribbean islands.
Thanks – that is a good suggestion. Will try putting in some background going ahead. Am glad you liked the pics and I wish you well for your forthcoming adventures.
Thanks for liking my post. you are welcome to view more photo on my blog. Your photographs are great.
Am glad you liked my pics. Hope we catch each other around more often.
You have some great pics here, including the one of yourself. I'm thankful that in Michigan we don't have to worry about sharing a stump with a python, but a close encounter with a rattlesnake is a possibility. Thanks for liking my About page, and I hope you stop by again for future visits.
Hi Tom! Am glad to have you visit and thanks for the appreciation. I did a short tour of Michigan through your blog as well. Liked the way you caught the reflection of clouds in the river.
"discovering something beautiful just because you didn’t follow the route on GPS " This is so true!
I am already liking your blog 🙂
Thanks for the appreciation. Once the camera takes me in (I virtually go into a trance), there's no saying where I will wander off. Which does get dangerous at times, but it's such fun to be guided by what your viewfinder shows.
So true! Sometimes its hard to stop clicking even if you have already captured similar thing a million times. Million can be an exaggeration though 😉
Its a kind of active meditation I guess, that let you go into trance as well like you said.
Thank you so much for following our blog 🙂 Looks like your blog is OUR type of blog to follow! Happy travels.
Hey there! Am glad we discovered each other. Though my journeys are nowhere as grueling/adventurous as yours, they do bring a lot of joy and fulfillment. Bon voyage to you too. I hope our paths cross some day.
Although there is so much of the world to explore – when it comes to people – the world is small! So we are sure our paths will cross! If you are ever in Sydney – be sure to let us know 🙂
I like that. Yeah, will give you guys a shout. And if you decide to amble across to India, I'll be there to take you around. Will be happy to point you to trekking spots though 'coz there's no way I'll be able to match your pace. 😉 . So long!
Nice and interesting !
Thanks for visiting. The world, and specially India, makes for an interesting story, don't you think?
Hi….as you've been so kind in posting a number of times today on my blog, I thought I would return the favour and check out your site. Well….I'm now following….look forward to seeing more of your work.
Thanks Mark. Blame your pictures – they just were that good. Happy to have you around.
Thank you for liking one of my posts. Blessings, Natalie 🙂
Hello Vibha,
I see few pics have borders and some are not. I think adding borders to pics make it appear better. Thats my thought.
Appreciate your blog and work on photography.

Merci Neeraj. Your appreciation warms my heart.
I agree that borders mostly make photos stand out more, but I leave them out at times to give a different feel.
Am happy you visited and commented – thanks for the follow as well.
Appreciate your feedback. I'm now adding borders to most of my pics.

Hello Vibha, thanks for dropping by my blog and the follow. "Travel fascinates me as it mingles unexpected moments with the ordinary ones". Both Charles de Lint and you crack it, the reason why I travel and then come back home to write about it. Looking forward to reading your blog. Cheers.
Thanks for visiting. I like your writing style and am happy to come across people like you through blogging. More power to us!
